An exhibition showcasing exquisite embroidery works of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties was put on from April 17 to 22 as part of the 11th China Embroidery Culture and Arts Festival held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

More than 80 representative embroidery works were shown at the exhibition, including royal court pieces and examples of Su and Gu embroidery (the latter from Shanghai) and Guangdong embroidery works (from China's Guangdong province).

The exhibits were divided into three categories according to different functions: royal court embroidery works, screens and chair covers, and joint sleeves.
